The University Juarez of the State of Durango participated again in the Radio Marathon called on this occasion "Your gift worth a smile", with the donation of 29 thousand 250 toys , which is a great contribution to the goal that seeks to exceed  55,000 units. Similarly, the Maximum Study House collaborated with a cultural act performed by a cast of recognized university artists such as: Mariachi "Soul of Mexico", Chorus "Voices of Mexico", Folk Dance Workshop, Romantic  Trio "Los Comodines" , Contemporary Dance "Corpus Di Ballo", Group of Latin American Music "Mecapal" and for a spectacular  closing, Luis Enrique and his Harp.

It was a special day for the University Community, for the state of Durango but, above all, for those children who smile at seeing the toys in their hands, gathered by the always expected and successful Radio Marathon 2010, organized by the Universidad Juarez del Estado de Durango. Surrounded by a humanitarian environment towards those who have less, at the Plaza de Armas of this city, they listened to the message of the rector Luis Tomas Castro, who expressed his appreciation for the commendable work of the first lady Tere Alvarez del Castillo de Herrera and all directors and state representatives who were present at the taking off.

He stated that "the Universidad Juarez del Estado de Durango has done the work; it has made the effort" and thanked the secretary-general Vicente Reyes Espino, for keeping an eye on this project. "As a parent I have witnessed a smile when giving to my children, and for that reason, the Universidad Juarez cannot be left behind in offering these toys.  We are going to meet the goal," he said with enthusiasm.

Since seven o´clock in the morning educational institutions and civil associations were ready in the Plaza de Armas to begin receiving the toys, and then, at ten o"clock in the morning, inaugurate this movement formally and announced happily that the people from the Lagunera Region University brought 32 thousand toys. He said that in the presence of representatives of Mexican Society of Engineers, academics and administrators of the Universidad Juarez, the Institute of Technology of Durango and the Normal School of the State of Durango, among other organizations that have joined by this noble cause along the time.

It should be noted that for the issuance of the  Radio Marathon in Gomez Palacio, the university community of units of the Lagoon Region  donated 1,750 toys and in Durango 27 thousand 500
