Promote comprehensive development in the students in the society of knowledge, based on professional ethics, societal values and social service to meet the demands of the environment and the productive sector. This process takes place within an organizational culture that promotes professional and personal development of the different actors involved in this academic unit such as: authorities, teachers, students and administrative staff

Visión

The School of Social Work is committed to training professionsals in an educational, political and social context with local, regional and national levels, Undergraduate and Graduate of high academic, professional competitiveness, characterized by performing successfully in the social context where they operate, equipped with the ability to take action and work together, promoting positive leadership and ability to respond to the challenges of research and care of different problems, developing intervention models that require each of the situations presented, thus contributing to strengthening the professional specialty.

This Academic Unit leads the region in research, education, promotion and social welfare.

Its educational programs meet the social demands with quality, relevance and equity, which are developed with an innovative, flexible, curriculum structure,  besides linking closely theory and practice, it applies educational methods that promote teaching techniques that favor the learning process, cultivates the traiing of engrepreneurial professionals, creative and reflective able to influence the needs of their environment.

All of PTC Faculty have the minimum acceptable profile. They develop research The lines of invstigation that make up the academic body are develoed.. The PTC have been trained for this purpose.

There is an ongoing program of Teacher Education, both career and subject, which allows thm to assume their role as tuors of Social Workers in training and facilitators of each one of the programs of the Study Plan,making use of advanced technology and promoting access to information to carry out their academic activities.

The index of terminal efficienchy has risen and the qualification rates are exceeding 85%.

The attention to each student is given a permanent and comprehensive way, with a humanistic and responsible vision, involving them in participatory and critical learning processes focusing on the soluton of problems and with possibilities of discovering other scenarios through movility exchange programs with various institutions of the discipline and related areas. The tutoring program that encourages retention rates and performance continues for the benefit of the students. Maintain close A close contact is maintained with graduates through continuing education programs which promote the linkage with the social environment allowing the updating and training of both social work professionals, and other groups of related disciplines

Institutional agreements have been established to strengthen networking and collaboration with professors and students, through practice, social services, training of teachers and their mobility and the students´.

La infraestructura física y el equipamiento responden a las demandas de cada uno de los programas educativos, ya que se dispone de espacios debidamente acondicionados para la realización de las tareas de docencia, investigación y gestión académica; así mismo, existe tecnología de gran capacidad para la operación de redes y programas de Educación Abierta y a Distancia. Las fuentes de financiamiento están constituidas por programas de apoyos extraordinarios, a través de convenios con instituciones de la administración pública y privada y por la generación de recursos propios.

The physical infrastructure and equipment meet the requirements of individual educational programs, as it properly conditioned spaces for carrying out the tasks of teaching, research and academic administration, likewise, high-capacity technology exists for network operations and programs of Open and Distance Education.  Funding sources consist of special support programs, through agreements with institutions of public and private management and the generation of own resources.

The regulations reflects the nature of educational programs and ensures security and stability of the functions resulting therefrom. Based on the program to improve the quality of educational programs, the Bachelor of Social Work-school is located at Level 1 according to the classification of CIEES after having met the criteria established for that purpose, the two remaining programs are evaluated by the relevant bodies.

Professional Training in Social Work through a frame of reference that will allow them to dominate the theoretical, methodological and technical terms of practice and also let them have a critical view of the facts they will influence, contributing to its transformation and improvement.
